Assessment Task:<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In this assessment, you will deliver a 5-minute recorded oral presentation, accompanied by a<\/p>\n

2500-word report. The presentation will include the creation of a virtual machine or EC2 instance and storage bucket and establish the connection between them. The report will include a comparison of the chosen cloud service provider with another cloud service provider and potential improvements to the functionality of both cloud service providers.<\/p>\n

This assessment therefore evaluates your ability to utilise public cloud platforms, while also focusing on virtualisation and resource pooling concepts. Furthermore, it bridges the gap between theory and application, thereby enhancing your skills in deploying, managing, and optimising cloud-based solutions.<\/div>\n

In this assessment, you will set up and manage virtual environments using a provided cloud platform subscription, gaining hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure. You will also compare various cloud service models and investigate their cost structures.<\/p>\n

This assessment will evaluate your cloud computing knowledge, preparing you for professional IT roles and further learning opportunities.<\/p>\n

Instructions:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

For this assessment, you will demonstrate setting up a virtual machine or instance, create an S3 bucket (or Google Cloud Storage Bucket for GCP or Azure Blob Storage in case of Azure) <\/strong>and establish a connection between them using a public cloud platform.<\/p>\n

Important note: For this assessment, you may utilize the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform provided by the university or any other public cloud platform of your choice with a personal subscription.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

To complete Assessment 3 successfully, you must complete the following three (3) tasks:<\/p>\n

Task 1: Create an S3 bucket using a EC2 Instance<\/strong><\/p>\n

Choose the AWS platform or any other preferred public cloud platform (Azure or GCP) another preferred public cloud platform. Deploy the following steps and record the screenshots of each step:<\/p>\n
